"Artists Enhancing Spaces"
Artist - Maryanne Keeling
I am drawn to the timeless beauty of nature and its many moods created by light. Photography is an art form that allows me to capture a unique moment in time that will never be repeated. I want to draw the viewer in when I create a piece, be it purely
photographic or painted. I want them to go on a journey with me. I hope to kindle an emotional response, causing the audience to pause and immerse themselves in the beauty surrounding us, often unnoticed.
Having a lifetime love of photography and art, I left the oil and gas industry to open a portrait and fine art studio, which I’ve had for nearly 30 years. More recently, I transitioned to only fine art and landscape work, offering photography and mixed-media painting in virtual and live galleries.
Over the years, I have obtained both my Master of Photography and Master Artist Degree, bringing technical expertise and credibility to my work. I’ve been recognized through the International Photographic Competition (IPC), where I’ve consistently been a medalist.
I am a member of the Professional Photographer’s Guild of Houston, Texas Professional Photographer’s Association, Professional Photographers of America, American Society of Photographers, and a board member of the Charleston Artist Guild. My painted and photographic work is currently displayed at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery.
